Streamline student Accommodations for IEP, 504, and intervention plans

Tracking student support plans, whether for an IEP, 504, or a specific intervention, is a complex and critical task. Manual processes, disconnected spreadsheets, and endless emails lead to inconsistencies, place a heavy burden on staff, and create compliance risks.

Wayground closes the implementation gap between a student's documented plan and the daily support they receive in the classroom.

One source of truth for every student

Wayground provides a central dashboard to manage and sync accommodations from IEPs, 504s, and other intervention plans directly to teacher rosters automatically. This powerful feature is included as part of your organization's School and District plan at no extra cost.

The goal: Create a single source of truth for all student Accommodations, so you can set it up once and know that every student is getting the support they need, every time.

How it works:

  1. Invite your team: Your organization's administrator provides access to all necessary case managers and support staff.
  2. Assign Accommodations: Case managers log in to build their caseload and assign student Accommodations from a comprehensive, pre-approved list.
  3. Sync with rosters instantly: Once saved, Wayground automatically syncs all Accommodations to the rosters of every relevant teacher, ensuring consistent support with no extra work.
  4. Empower teachers: General-ed teachers have the flexibility to then customize or add Accommodations to best meet their specific classroom needs.

Benefits for your organization

  • Ensure 100% fidelity & compliance: Mitigate legal risk by creating a clear digital paper trail that shows accommodations from all plans (IEP, 504, RTI/MTSS) are being delivered as mandated.
  • Reclaim staff hours: Eliminate the administrative busywork of creating lists, sending emails, and following up with teachers, allowing case managers, interventionists, and support staff to focus on students, not paperwork.
  • Promote equity and consistency: Ensure every student receives their required support in every class, from every teacher, creating a more equitable learning environment.
  • Close the implementation gap: While your SIS or IEP Writer stores the official documents, Wayground ensures those accommodations are active in the instructional tool teachers use every day.
  • Data-informed support: The system can sync with Clever and ClassLink flags (e.g., section_504iep_status) to help you quickly filter and manage support for specific student groups.

Frequently asked questions

Is this FERPA compliant?
Yes. All student data is handled in a FERPA-compliant manner, as per your organization's existing agreement with Wayground's parent company, Quizizz.

Where do case managers set up Accommodations?
This happens on Wayground. We use Clever or ClassLink to bring in the entire student roster and class information to ensure all students are available on the platform.

What privileges does the Case Manager role have?
Case managers can add, view, and edit accommodations for any rostered student in the organization, which syncs with the relevant teachers' rosters. They do not have other admin privileges to view usage analytics or roster teachers. Existing admins can also be assigned the case manager role.

Can teachers still use Google Classroom, Canvas, or other LMSs?
Yes. Teachers can continue to distribute Wayground assignments through their preferred Learning Management System (LMS). We use Clever/ClassLink as the source of truth for rostering, so for a seamless experience, ensure the student email IDs in your LMS match those synced from Clever/ClassLink.
