Free-For-Schools Is Evolving: What’s Next

The Free-For-Schools program has helped thousands of educators make teaching easier and more engaging. As we continue improving your experience, Free-For-Schools will transition to an improved Starter (Basic) plan. You will get access to the most-loved features, with no action needed from your side.

What’s changing?

Starting July 15th, 2025, all Free-For-Schools users will be moved to the new Starter (Basic) plan. Here’s what that includes:

Unlimited AI usage
With unrestricted access to Wayground AI, you can create smarter and faster. Generate resources and more using links, PDFs, worksheets, prompts, etc.
Keep everything you've built
All the resources you’ve created, including anything with premium question types or other enhanced features, will remain fully accessible in your library.
Premium question types: creation ends mid-July
You can keep creating with premium question types through mid-July. After that, while you can still use these resources as live or asynchronous sessions, you won’t be able to edit them or create new ones using premium question types.

How do I get access to these features?

If your school was part of the Free-For-Schools plan, you do not need to do anything. The transition will happen automatically on July 15th, 2025, and the updated features will appear in your Wayground account.

What is changing with Free-For-Schools?

We are transitioning Free-For-Schools to an improved Starter (Basic) plan that includes unlimited AI usage and continued access to the content you’ve created. This update begins on July 15th, 2025.

Will I lose access to my existing content?

No. Everything you’ve created will stay right where it is, fully available in your library.

Can I still create using premium question types?

You can create resources with premium question types until mid-July. After that, you can still use any resources you created earlier, but you won't be able to edit them or create new ones with premium question types.

Do I need to take any action?

If your school was part of the Free-For-Schools plan, your account will be updated automatically, and you can continue using Wayground as usual.
