Rostering on Wayground via Clever: An Overview

Clever Rostering on Wayground enables secure and automated rostering for School Districts, empowering District Administrators to save time, reduce errors, and enhance security, all while making it easy to integrate Wayground into a curriculum. 

Rostering via Clever

Administrators can now automatically sync teacher and staff rosters on Wayground via Clever instead of manually updating rosters via file uploads like before.

The teacher and staff roster syncs nightly. This means that user accounts in your school district's Wayground organization are added or removed every night if they are added or removed from Clever.

Import Classes via Clever from your SIS

Teachers can import Clever classes into Wayground, which automatically manages teacher and student associations via Clever sync. Importing a Clever Class involves creating the class's student rosters on Wayground.

Teachers can choose to accept or decline Clever-synced classes. Additionally, if co-teachers are present in Clever classes, the integration will automatically add them to the imported classes on Wayground. 

Note that Clever Class does not support grade sync. We recommend teachers to sync their classes from a learning management system (LMS) such as Google Classroom, Canvas, or Schoology, to sync grades from a class-assigned activity.

Note that the integration doesn’t

• Delete existing users on Wayground added via other methods
• Modify or delete existing classes in Wayground added via other methods

Prerequisites for the integration

All teachers and staff members in a school district must have email addresses in their Clever accounts. Data records with missing email addresses on Clever will be filtered out. Administrators can view these records in their Data Errors view on Clever.

Note: Your School District needs to have both integrations — the Wayground app (District SSO) and the Wayground Rostering app — on Clever.

• The Wayground Rostering app is only visible to Admins on the Clever portal. Teachers and students cannot view this app.
• The Wayground app (District SSO integration) will be visible to teachers and students on your Clever portal and enables them to seamlessly SSO into Wayground.
