How to import an MS Teams class (or channel) as a Wayground Class

Get ready to supercharge your MS Teams channels on Wayground! With its seamless integration, importing your MS Teams classes and channels on Wayground is a breeze; you can assign Wayground sessions to your students directly from MS Teams, and grades will be automatically synced across the two platforms.

Note: Grade syncing is available for users with the Wayground School & District plans.

Follow these simple steps to import your MS Teams channels into Wayground Classes: 

1. Click on 'Classes' in the left navigation pane
2. Choose MS Teams from under the ‘Import a new class from’ section
   
   
   
   
3. Log in with the account that needs to be synced with Microsoft Teams. Typically, this is your professional account associated with your school/college/district
4. On the pop-up window, select the MS Teams channel(s) or class(es) you want to import as Wayground classes
   1. Optionally, you can enable the ‘Share student progress reports with a parent/guardian’ setting by clicking on the check box
      
      Note: Grade syncing will only be supported if you import MS Teams classes (not channels) as Wayground Classes.
      
      
5. Click on ‘Import’
   
   

If you have previously integrated your MS Teams channels as Wayground Classes (before the launch of MS Teams for Education), 

1. Follow steps 1 to 3 from above
2. On the pop-up window, select the MS Teams class whose channels were previously imported as Wayground Classes. This will archive the old, imported channels and import the entire MS Teams class as a Wayground Class.
   
   
   
   
3. Optionally, you can enable the ‘Share student progress reports with a parent/guardian’ setting by clicking on the check box 
4. Click on 'Import'

Your selected classes from MS Teams will now be imported as Classes on Wayground, and you can assign Wayground sessions to them directly!

If you have subscribed to the Wayground School or District plan, your grades will automatically sync between Wayground and MS Teams. You'll also be able to access student progress reports over time and assign Accommodations to your students while assigning them sessions.

Note: When syncing classes via integrations with LMSs such as MS Teams, Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, Clever, ClassLink, etc., there is a limit of 5000 students per class.
